The goal: the best solution
Emerging from an idea, we produce high-quality products, no matter where you need them
Oncology
Special requirements apply to the sensitive area of oncology when it comes to the administration of infusion solutions. An implanted port catheter, for example, is the access of choice for chemotherapy treatment in many cases.
Urology
We offer excellent, high-quality products for almost every area of urology – from transure-thral urinary diversion to percutaneous nephrostomy as a standard or customized solution.
Bio-engineering
Amongst other things, Ecomedis has developed a catheter that enables cultured cell cartilage to be implanted extremely precisely. There is also an increasing demand for catheters with sensory properties. For several years now, Ecomedis has been manufacturing a hose system for a highly complex diagnostic procedure for a medical device manufacturer.
CVC
The central venous catheter (CVC) is advanced through a larger vein until just before the right atrium. For example, the PERKAT™ RV is an innovative, unique technical approach towards cardiac assistance that we developed together with partners such as the Fraunhofer Institute in Jena, with the company NovaPump as consortium leader.
Assisted reproduction
There are a series of fertility technologies and tests that make successful treatment possible with reproduction technologies. Whether for ovulation induction (OI), intrauterine insemi-nation (IUI), in-vitro fertilization (IVF), or for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), we produce the right product for all these technologies.
Intrathecal product line
From venipuncture and drug administration up to closing the venous access sites, individual infusion accessories form the basis of infusion therapy. It is important here to exclude risks such as infection and faulty infusions and to protect staff from needlestick injuries, blood contact and exposure to drugs.
Infusion systems
Some diseases require drugs to be adminis-tered directly into the cerebrospinal fluid of the spinal cord. These include conditions that cause chronic pain and certain movement disorders that are accompanied by patholo-gically increased muscular tone. A thin hose runs from the pump under the skin of the flank and ends in the cerebrospinal fluid of the spinal canal. This allows the drugs to be administered to the site of action without passing through the intestine and liver.
