In May of this year, the CEO of Hengst Filtration SE, Christopher Heinemann and Frank Schiwek, managing partners of Ecomedis medizintechnik gmbh, signed a cooperation agreement on future collaboration in the fields of filtration technology in the medical technology sector.
Hengst Filter can look back on a long and successful company tradition. Over 60 years of experience in filtration and separation led to the top of Engine & Mobile Filtration. Further areas such as Industrial & Climate Technology Air Filtration were added continuously.
 So it was only a logical step towards medical technology with its diverse challenges in the air and fluid filtration area. In the recently concluded cooperation with Ecomedis medizintechnik gmbh from Münster, two owner-managed companies are bundling their competencies that are strongly regionally rooted and globally oriented. For almost 30 years now, Ecomedis has been active as an OEM supplier and extended workbench in the Med-Tec industry. Ecomedis is certified according to ISO EN 13485: 2016 and develops and produces medical devices of classes I to III. Their clientele includes both large corporations and so-called "hidden champions".
From the point of view of both companies, the new business area holds great potential and is both a challenge and an opportunity. Production is located in Münster in Westphalia, which is likely to be a sales argument in the recent past due to the inability to deliver many medical products.
